Why do you need a specific user name for the compiler? Why not just register it to a company?

CCS pre-registers software before sending it to our customers. This is different from other software which provides a registration key the user may type in during installation.

We can better serve our customers with pre-registered software because it is easier for us to look up an account in our system that way. Additionally, some companies have many different compilers and engineers and we need to maintain accuracy when accepting purchase requests and offering tech support.
