bootloader help
PostPosted: Fri May 16, 2008 1:23 am     Reply with quote

hi
I am using tiny bootloader for my application i have followed all the steps of the post
http://www.ccsinfo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34065&highlight=tiny+bootloader

The device i am using is 18F4620 with clock of 20MHz

and the hex file in the directory \picsource\18f
tinybld18F2620.HEX

as my device was not listed then i changed the following
in the file icdpictypes.inc

previously
Code:
IFDEF __18F2620
      #include "p18f2620.inc"
IdTypePIC = 0x4F
      #define max_flash 0x10000
   ENDIF
   IFDEF __18F4620
      #include "p18f4620.inc"
IdTypePIC = 0x4F
      #define max_flash 0x10000
   ENDIF

changed
Code:
IFDEF __18F2620
      #include "p18f2620.inc"
IdTypePIC = 0x4F
      #define max_flash 0x10000
   ENDIF
   IFDEF __18F4620
      #include "p18f4620.inc"
IdTypePIC = 0x4F
      #define max_flash 0x10000
   ENDIF

and loaded the tinybld18F2620.HEX to controller then i tried to detect the hardware using tinybldWin.exe
which was successful and the message showed was

Code:
Connected to \\.\COM1 at 115200
  Searching for PIC ...
  Found:18F 2620/4620

Then i tried to load my application but following error came
Code:
Connected to \\.\COM1 at 115200
  HEX: 8 min old, INHX32,18Fcode+cfg, total=33844 bytes.
  Searching for PIC ...
  Found:18F 2620/4620
  Could not write
  ERROR!

I am also using hardware UART pin c6 and pin c7 for other purpose with baud rate of 9600.
Kindly suggest me a solution as i am stuck,

Thanks
