I want learn C for PIC uc

Does anyone here help me learn the compiler for PIC processors from CCS? I'm learning with the free demo of PCW. The programming language C is new to me can anybody help me.

From the link just given you there are some really good books to look at. The first one on the list by Nigel Gardner will give a lot of good info for the CCS compiler and C programming in general. Note though that it is more CCS C based, not ANSI C. CCS adds some great functions that are not standard to ANSI C.

Also, if I remember correctly, the Nigel Gardner book is based off of 3.249 or something like that. If you are using version 4.xx of CCS, there will be some differences. But in general you can pick up a lot from it. As you get deeper into, you may want one of the other books. The second one I have heard referred to as the C Bible, which is ANSI C, which for the most part the CCS compiler lines up with, but will not cover some of those nice CCS funtions. When it comes to learning C, a lot will be personal preference. You can also go to about.com, where they have some C primers. Best of luck

hey,

we're in the same situation, i'm still trying (sooo hard) to be well-versed in C. i would say that i am in the second stage, but there's still too many things to learn.

first, what i did was to collect C e-books (they're everywhere, just google the relevant key terms and they'll give you lots of sources). i studied them according to the similar lessons that they are teaching. for example, if it's about interfacing, i search all of the e-books regarding interfacing. in that way, i get more chance to gain all the relevant information regarding that topic collectively.

learning C isn't difficult at all. i can help you along the process but don't ask me (YET, Wink

) with the extremely high-level programming that the masters over here are good at.

second, read forums. you'll learn a lot from the experts. try searching the forum with the basic questions that you have in mind. that helps too.
