necessary to write interrupt in a project?

Hi, i am a beginner in ccs...
here is my question,hope u all can help me:

do we necessary need to write interrupt in a project?
what is the effect if an interrupt does not include in a project?

Interrupts, are hardware feature of the chips, just like the RS232, ADC etc.. If you don't use the hardware, you don't need to have an handler code. If however you use this feature (basically as soon as you have the line 'enable_interrupts'), then a handler _must_ be present in the code.
If you look at the examples supplied with the compiler, many of them, do not use interrupts at all, and have no code for these (EX_8PIN, EX_LED etc.)
