serial communication for pic

Hello.
I have to establish a serial communication between a pic 18F6520 and a OKI's IC for vox synthesis ML22Q54.
For that, I would like to know if somebody can advise me before begining, as soon as possible.
I would like to do a function which respect the following link:

The timing looks similar to SPI, except that it has \Read and \Write
signals that must also be set (with two more i/o pins), in addition to
the normal \CS signal. Therefore, you can use the PIC's hardware
SPI module to provide the interface to the chip.

determine the SPI mode and use CCS functions to implement it.
