problem migrating from pic16 to pic18
PostPosted: Wed Mar 14, 2007 2:34 pm     Reply with quote

Question i have an application working with a pic16F876 and a graphic display 128x64. I'm trying to update the pic for pic18F252 (more ram ) , and it didn't work!! i have some errotic behaviour ( some time some data are displayed at the wrong place)
is this pic18 hardware really compatible with pic16? ido i need to adapt my program (fuses,..)?
the pic18 program has worked in simulation mode ( with proteus simulation)
it's also the first time i use the icd-U40. i found that the icd disturb my display ( with pic16 an pic18) , so i can't use the debugger

thank you for you help

The F212 will have more(or just different) #FUSES that are available. You'll need to make sure the proper ones are used.

Are you defining any registers? You'll need to define them with the (new) proper addresses if you are.
