A/D conversion help
PostPosted: Mon Oct 30, 2006 5:24 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

i am using (pic18f4550) AN0 as input (analog signal) and sending out the data on port B.
I don't know how to make portb as digital output, though i have made it output port using TRIS but don't know is it digital or analog.

another thing , is it necessary to connect VREF+ and VREF- pins, if i keep them floating, would i get output ???(any direct way in code ??)

What do you mean by "sending out the data on port B"? Are you trying to map the 8bit analog value read on AN0 to Port B? (Explain more about what you'd like to do and others will provide all sorts of ideas of how to do what you'd like.

No, you don't need to connect the Vref pins if you use the internal reference.

Post your code so others can help you.

John
