I am thinking of building a software to program a pic.

I am thinking of building a software to program a pic. By using either com port or lpt. But i dont have any information of how a microchip is programmed.

Searching in google is hard since i dont even know what kind of keyword to use.....

Please supply me some information to study, your help is greatly appreciated.

Try going to Microchip and looking at the datasheet for a PIC you will be programming. The programming information will be found there.
Also. look at the Microchip Application Notes.

Go to the Microchip Data Sheet Finder page:
http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=2046
Select your PIC in the drop-down box. When the page is loaded, look
on the lower right side for a link to the "Programming Specification".
It has all the information on how to program your PIC.
