SD card, CMD0 response
PostPosted: Tue Aug 22, 2006 7:21 am     Reply with quote

Hello,

I'm trying to write and read data on SD cards. When I initialise the card by sending CMD0, I've noticed that I get different responses: 0x0, or 0x1F, 0xBF. Have anybody experienced the same thing?

Thanks,

Christophe D.

My first thought is that you have a hardware problem. A response of 0xBF is illegal, the MSB of a R1 format response is defined to be always 0.

Have you ever managed to get other cards to work, ie. is this a new hardware setup?
