Enocoder/Decoder for RF application

I have been using (HT12D and HT12E) / (PT2262 and PT2272) for encoder/decoder in a RF application, however both IC take very long time for encoding/docoding. I think by using PIC running at higher frequency may be a solution.

Anyone can suggest where I can find the necessary resources?
