Communication between 2 PICs using BlueTooth?
PostPosted: Wed May 03, 2006 2:01 am     Reply with quote

Hi

I would like to have 2 PIC's communicating using BlueTooth.
I have baught 2 BlueTooth units from Sparkfun- the BlueSMiRF, and connected one with a PIC16F873.
I am using printf("D%x", var1) to send data.

However, nothing is being received.
Can someone please tell me:
(a) if I can use printf command for serial communication?
(b) how to find out the factory settings on the BlueSMiRF?
(c) how to reset the BlueSMiRF?

Thank you in advance.
a.

a. Yes, you can.
b. Check here: http://www.sparkfun.com/cgi-bin/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=13 and read the datasheet.

I'd suggest communicating with a desktop machine using a MAX232 first, then port it to bluetooth.
