Problem with the ICD-U40 (transistor burned)

Good afternoon,...I have a ICD-U40 that burned the transistor near the RJ (Target) conector , i would like to know what is the code of the transistor...

Hello Rodrigo,
If you don't know the replacement for this transistor tray to replace this one with a low power switching transistor like 2n2222. You should take care of the schematic for the correct position of this part. Also you can find such information from internet.

How do you know that it was a transistor?

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago - I have blown up a Zener diode inside ICD-U. CCS tech support did actually give me the replacement part number and the replacement worked. Here's ny correspondence with them:

There is a Level Translator inside ICD-U40 also a 2n2222 transistor. This can be burned when you connect GND to +VCC and Vcc to gnd from de ICD to Circuit. This Level Translator adapts voltages from inside ICD to voltage used in the circuit you are programming.
It is about MAX3372 from MAXIM-IC, this is an 8 pins IC and the top mark use to be AAKS

Note that not any bipolar will do as replacement part. The BS170(I know it is not a bipolar) worked for me until I found the original part.

I also burned the (next to the RJ11 jack pins) 1S transistor by accidentally connecting the PCD-pin to +5V capable of supplying 1 Amp of power.
A 2N7002 (FET) proved to be a good replacement for the time being.
