SPI bus length

Does anyone have practical experience of running an SPI bus over a relatively long length i.e. a foot or two+?

I am using it over a two-foot distance in an appliation right now. There are about half a dozen slaves connected to the bus over that distance. The clock freq is 4MHz. The bus is working properly.

It works fine. Put termination (Pullup or Pulldown) resistors at the end not driving the line.
