Piezo unfortunately @ RC0 (T1OSO) on PCB need to make Beeps
PostPosted: Fri Jul 01, 2005 2:11 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

I don't want to change my layout, cause I have so many PCB's ready.
I have that buzzer connected to RC0 which is Timer 1 Oscillator Output on the 16F877.

I expect it to make sounds without interrupting normal program execution.
I can live with beeps or some crackling click sound made by cellphones, when a button is pressed.
I should have connected it to some PWM output, but can be anything done with RC0 Question Idea

And how is that click sound produced ? Siemens cellpones can do it.

Many thanks, Martin

You will have to toggle the pin to produce the sound or get a different kind of piezo that will produce a tone when voltage is applied to it.
