Hello,

Do I need a MAX232 to interface the GT48 to my PC?

Can I use just TX, RX and GND signals to talk to the GT48?

I don't know, but there are a lot of documents for the GT47 available
at this webpage:

Download the Tecnical Description manual from the above mentioned website. Page 16 describes the electrical voltages on the RS232 pins. all are +/-13V or +/-25V, so no MAX232 is required for interfacing to the PC.

I have worked with the GM47/48. I don�t know which differs has with the GT47/48. But the GM 47/48 needs max232 to connect itself to the PC

GM47 is a Module without enclosure for embedded applications.
GT47 is a Terminal with enclosure and all electonics like power supply and MAX232 included.
