USB with PIC 18F458 and USBN9603
PostPosted: Fri Aug 06, 2004 12:20 am     Reply with quote

hi there!

i've a big problem! i'm using a usb chip (usbn9603) vom national semiconductors with a pic18f458 and the sample c-program which is included in the ccs compiler package (ex_usb_hid.c).
it seems to work, the pic starts and the computer enumerates the pic. then i can read/write data form/to the pic with my visual basic application. but then, after a few seconds or minutes the pic stops to send data and after this my vb-app can't detect the pic again. but the pic is still enumerated in the windows-device manager!

does anybody know this problem??

i use the interrupt-transfer in hid-class. and for my vb-app i use the microchip hidcomm-activeX.

thankx,
philipp

Hi,
I was reviewing several forums in order to solve a problem I have.
And I found your old post.
I have a similar problem with a 9603 but using a HC12 microcontroller.
It works fine when I use one board , but when I add other equal board ,
the first hangs up after a few seconds.
All endpoints answer with NAK. And I have to reenumerate it in order to
back it to life again.

Have you solved your problem yet ??????????
