Contactless Smart Card Reader

Hello,

Anybody in this community have made a contactless/contact smart card reader/writer using PIC microcontroller? Would it be possible if u can share some information regarding smart card system.

Help also on where I can find a good resource on smart card modules for both the reader and writer.

Generally said, you will have to decide which type of SmartCard
you want to read/write -> you will then need to get the datasheets
of that particular CPU and/or I2C EEPROM.
Here are some types which I know of:
GoldCard = PIC16F84 + 24C16
GreenCard = PIC16F876/877 + 24C128
GreenCard II alias SilverCard=PIC16F877 + 24C256

There are of course other types (with ATMEL CPU's for instance)
but I don't know much about them.

Writing to the SmartCard means you are programming it in fact.
Therefore you must understand the programming specifications
like ICSP for Microchip's CPU in order to implement it in your design.
