I am using a demo version of ccs at home so I do not have the 18F258.H file. could someone eather post a copy for me or direct me to place where I can download it.

I have a full version at school, I just want to go over the definitions at home.

I'm afraid that file is copyrighted and none of us can direct you to a place to download it. However, if you have the demo version you should have the 18F458.H file. PIC18F458 is very similar to PIC18F258, so you should be able to use that file to look at the definitions.
