Search in 5.094 open wrong search box.

CTRL-F open the wrong search box, same when using the menu->search.

In 5.066 it use a simple search box, and you can switch to "find in file" this is what is standard in 5.094 as standard.
So the simple "find" is gone and replaced by a not working "find in file" for the CTRL+F?

(2907-2020, Accepted as as bug form CCS, will be fixed in next release.)

Does F1 for 'help' work?.

I found that 5.094, seemed to be 'missing' the pcd.chw help file. Copied this
from 5.093, and it then merrily worked.
It may be that some other bits are missing from the install. Obviously such
a missing file would not be noticed by people who have updated on an
existing directory. Only people who always install into different locations,
or who have missed several versions on the update would have problems.
I think you are in this later category?.

With the chw file copied in, for me CTRL-F works as it always did. Doesn't
launch 'find in file'.
What do you mean by 'not working' for find in file?. I use this all the time.
The only time it gives me problems is if the project has got corrupted. In
this case simply delete the project and re-open the primary source file. The
project gets re-created and after a compile, 'find in file', merrily works again.

I always rename the old dir to "PICC_5.0xx" then doing the install. I have old project there must compile with the older version.....

F1 are working.

-I now copied the pcw.exe from my 5066 to the 5094 and than my CTRL+F is working. It show "find" not "find in file".
-When using 5094 pcw it show "find in file" all the time.

Same happened from the menu "Edit"->Find
So for me the Edit->Find and Edit->Find Text In Files are the same. Dont have the Find only command.

Given my 'missing file' was for PCD (so the PIC24/30/33), it didn't seem
likely to be the same problem.
However it does look as if some parts of 5.094 may well have problems.
I've already reported my problem, so suggest you do the same.

As a question, what do the IDE settings show for the find option?.

So Options, IDE, Keyboard, Edit, Find
What key sequence is being shown here?.

Yours is four days later than mine. I'm 26.11 (26th June).

Sounds as if they have introduced something nasty in some later tweaks...

If you want the 26.11 install, I can email it (give me the address through the
private message section).

Would be interesting to see if this affects your other issue.

For the LST file, did you try the "active file" in the Find in Files box? Its a work around potentially.

I abandoned the simple search years ago and only use Find in Files, so I am used to it, but I can get how it can be jarring to someone who doesn't use it as often.

@jeremiah, Yes and it is a way to get it working, thanks.
-I still wonder why I can't get the old search box, @Ttelmah has it working, we use same version (I tested the one he use).
-For now I use the fix you @jeremiah have suggested.
Case is mailed to CCS and I hope they have a explanation.
