There is an option 'Program calibration memory'. This needs to be unchecked.

This is under:
Properties->Categories=PICkit 3->Option categories=Memories to Program

You know, you'd THINK, any 'Wizard' or 'Applications Manager' would set the DEFAULT to NOT erase the OSCCAL memory area !
Then again, after a couple of months of clicking 'release', I did get Microchip SW eng to change that build option.....my MPLAB now defaults to 'release'.
