RA8835 LCD

Help,
I connected the RA8835 based CM320240-3E (datasheet: www.szcm-lcd.com/web/TUxing/5V/CM320240-3.pdf ) to PIC16F877A, all wiring is correct and double checked.
My problem is that only backlight comes alive, absolutely nothing on LCD can be seen ... what am I missing, any ideas or hints where to look?
