This project needs to be done in two weeks??? That's unfortunate. That's absolutely no time to LEARN anything. That's like trying to take a gallon of water and drinking it in one big GULP instead of one swallow at a time. Keep it as simple as possible. Cutting/pasting from somebody else's code will only cause you grief and confusion. Start simple with ONE task. Once you have that task working, add another. Build on to that until you have what you want finished. Keep it simple and try to learn!

I worked for a top10 US engineering university and interfaced with Engineering students in the Senior Design project class regularly.

This phenomenon is predictable and regular. They wait until the last minute (so to speak) to get their senior projects done and rush and typically crash then burn.

Unfortunately, it's given me somewhat of a bias against helping out because then they don't (haven't/won't) learn the most important lesson in their engineering career yet: (In the immortal words of Robert Oakes Jordan)

"Do your (censored) homework!"

and

"I'm not your mother, go over there and look it up!"
