PIC24 Running in debug mode, but not when simply programmed
PostPosted: Mon Jan 31, 2011 6:32 am     Reply with quote

Hi all,

I am using the PIC24HJ64GP502. I am having the problem that my (any) program runs on the PIC when it is in debug mode with my ICD3, but when I am running it out of debug (release) it just will not run.

Can anyone please help me with this?

You have to set build option to release then RECOMPILE, then download code into the PIC.
Next version of MPLAB will have user option to set 'release' as the default.

I talked to the MPLAB team about this.

Thanks for the quick reply temtronic.

I tried this, but unfortunately it does not solve my problem. Any other suggestions?
