PWM
PostPosted: Thu Oct 21, 2010 11:26 pm     Reply with quote

Hi. I am using PIC16F877A. I want to control a DC motor with PWM.
Can I generate a 50Hz of signal with a CCP channel???
I am using crystal of 4MHz.
Code:

setup_ccp2(CCP_PWM);
setup_timer_2(T2_DIV_BY_16, 208, 1);

This gives me frequency of approx 300Hz.

We hate the word "impossible", but you can't do what you are trying to do. However, with a low frequency like that, you could easily write a PWM routine in software.
