EZ Web Lynx (eagle library problem).
PostPosted: Thu Apr 22, 2010 3:37 am     Reply with quote

Hi everyone around here!!, I'm pleased to meet you.

Here is my little problem: some time ago I purchase some EZ Web Lynx (3.3v version) and nowadays I am trying to design a circuit using CadSoft Eagle.

CCS provide at the support site a library for using that product on Eagle, https://www.ezweblynx.com/files/ezeagle.lbr .

The problem that I'm having is that I can use the component on the schematic and in the board, but I can't connect anything to it. It seems that the library have some type of mistake that prevents to do that.

Anyone that had previously used an EZ Web Lynx with Eagle before?Anyone knows what is happening? or provide some solution? (I had used Eagle before but I don't know how to desing new components nor repair that .lbr).

Thanks in advance, best regards, beth.

Hi Beth,
You need to go to the CADSoft/Eagle Forum to ask questions like this.

http://www.cadsoftusa.com/forum.htm

I use Eagle exclusively and every time I have encountered NET connection
problems it has been the grid settings. The library may have been built
with a different grid setting or yours may be set wrong.

One note: Although not the best way to deal with it, I have set the grid down
to a smaller value in some cases to fix this. Be aware this may cause you other spacing issues later.

Hi dyeatman, thanks for your answer, it is awesome that a grid setting prevents me doing the connection.

I try half the actual value (0.05) and yes, it works.

Thanks for your quick and effective answer ;). Regards Beth.
