programming XL5 Speed controller for TRAAX car

Hi guys

I am new to programming the PIC, I am using a 18F4520 PIC microcontroller to program a XL5 ESC for regulating a TRAAX r.c car.
I observed that the frequency coming out of the R.C receiver was 46Hz (pulse width of 21.7msec).

My clock is 20Mhz and by using the PWM the least frequency I am able to get is 1.22Khz.

Can anybody help to achieve 46 - 50 Hz range frequency.

See the sample code for software PWM using Timer0 (also called RTCC)
in this thread. It will do PWM at lower frequencies:
