PCW: Favorites in the open dialogue window
PostPosted: Fri Oct 09, 2009 3:29 am     Reply with quote

It's really bugging me! PCW has changed the favourite icons in all the "Open" dialogues in my system. The list of locations on the left of those windows. It's added Projects and Examples. I want to change this back to normal, is there an option to do this or is a registry tweak needed?

There is a utility from Microsoft called Tweakui. It allows you to repair
icons. There are different versions of Tweakui available, depending on
your version of Windows. This utility might solve your problem.

Perfect. I had tweakui installed, didn't realise it could do this! 10 second job and undoes the "damage" of PCW :-) The technical name for the thing I was talking about is the "Places Bar" and it's listed under Common Dialogs in Tweak UI!
Thanks PCM Programmer.
