SD card driver confusion

Hello to everyone,
which driver can be used to access a SD Card? I just need to open a file and write lines into it. That's it.
I have found the MMC driver written by Tomi. Can that driver be used for SD Cards as well?
Or what driver is the easiest way to achieve that?
