SPI MSB/LSB
PostPosted: Fri Aug 08, 2008 5:57 pm     Reply with quote

Hi,
I have a question about SPI. I use setup_spi() to configure SPI, and I realizes that it does not have an option for MSB/LSB, transfer from b7/b0. So, I guess there is a default selection for it. Do you know which one is default? MSB or LSB?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that MSB first is the default. At least that's what works with my projects/code. Smile

True, the SPI hardware transmits MSB first and this is the standard for most other SPI devices I know of.

In the V4 compiler you can configure a software SPI driver (#use SPI) which is configurable to sent MSB or LSB first
