SFR and Peripherals all show 0000, not updating in Debug.

I was wondering if anyone have experienced this:
The SFR and Peripherals in Debug windows of CCS are not updating and only display 0000 for all the registers?

I was using pic18F4580 from the CAN bus kit (from ccsinfo) with IDE version 4.090 and ICD-U64.

The code works as expected, but if I step through the code, registers contents are all zero. I need to understand the already written CAN bus library (written by CCSinfo), that's why I need to step through the code to see registers' content along the way.


Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
