Customisable string Parser
PostPosted: Tue Jun 09, 2015 9:23 am     Reply with quote

Hi,

I'm looking for some suggestions for storing some rules for a customisable string parser.

The rules contain such things as:-

Length of rule
Terminator Char
Header Length
Header Chars
Delimiter type
Delimiter length
etc..

There will be many different rules with variable length data structures in each (Header chars etc.)

Would a good way of doing this be creating a Rules array in RAM, and just storing sequentially in here or trying to use a structure? I'm aware that dynamic memory allocation in most PICs is rather inefficient, so is there a cheats method??

All suggestions appreciated - thanks in advance,

Keith
