debugging 16bit devices with ICD3 in CCS's own IDE
PostPosted: Fri Feb 20, 2015 6:59 am     Reply with quote

Hi everyone.
Can any of you confirm whether you are able to use an ICD3 from within CCS's own IDE to program/debug 16bit devices - in particular a dsPIC30F3013?
I have tried the diagnostics and whilst it can read the device ID and the voltages, that seems to be about all it can do? Everything else such as erase/program/etc is met with an error.
I'm pretty certain the hardware is all OK as it seems to work OK from within MPLAB_8.9
