CCS & MPLAB (8.9) question
PostPosted: Tue Jan 14, 2014 11:47 pm     Reply with quote

Hi all,
I am re-staging a new PC and have an MPLAB question. In the past I've used EditPlus and the PCM/PCH line compiler. It provides most of the features I've needed (syntax highlight, autocomplete of sorts). Recently also I tried the MPLAB X IDE and let's just say I was not thrilled. I would like to ask current users of MPLAB 8.9 what are the key things they like (or not) about it.

I also use PCB, PCM, PCH and now using PCD with MPLAB (PCD with MPLAB X). The MPLAB IDE editors don't have a lot of features.

The MPLAB X compared with it's predecessor has a lot of features.

I recommend you the free webinar from Microchip:

TLS0000
TLS0999
TLS0101

Those will give you a more complete overview of the new MPLAB X IDE

EDIT:
One thing that I do like is the ctrl+space, looks like an auto complete function.
