Please help.
I am a student...
I am having magnetic speed sensor with 2 leads. I need it to be connected to PIC and measure the RPM. Pls help.

Start by using the 'search' engine on this forum and look for 'tachometer'. There are several postings as well as complete code.

More details are need on the 'magnetic speed sensor' like mfr/make/model. Odds are good you'll need some kind of 'signal conditioning' to ensure the PIC gets one and only one good pulse per hit.

If you don't find what you like here, google the web....thousands of others have made tachometers with the 877, myself included.

Read about T0CKI function. You can count multiple perionds, and than with simple aritmetic could calculate the RPM.
