how to use printf() function

Can anyone help me on this code
Code:

float value=23.11;
printf("\n %f",value);

How can I use the "printf()" function with numbers that have point and numbers after the point? I tried many methods but didn't work.
Can anyone help me please? Very Happy Very Happy
