Does anyone know how to configure the OSC1/RA7 pin as an input in an 18F4580?

You need to have INTRC_IO selected as your clock fuse, with one of the supported clock rates for this.
It then just operates as normal.
There may well be problems with this on older compilers, so if it is not working, tell us your compiler version, and post a minimum program.

Best Wishes
