Xbee Selection!
PostPosted: Sun May 09, 2010 3:20 am     Reply with quote

Hello everyone!

I am currently doing a project on pic 16f877a in which i have to serially transmit data (Wireless) to a server which will process the data and send back the result which will be displayed on an lcd where the PIC is installed. I have interfaced LCD and everything works fine. I am planning to use Xbee for wireless Tx/Rx. I wanted to know which Xbee module should i use to transmit the data, and please give any other suggestion which u have related to the enhancement of my project.

Regards.

If you're embedding something into a project, I've used the XBEE modules from http://www.digi.com/products/wireless/zigbee-mesh/ in many of my projects.

If you're simply going to use these modules as if they were a cable then you can use them right out of the box with no programming. If you're going to have a multi-point system then it can be a bit tricky but do-able. Their customer service is very helpful too.
