different characters displayed on LCD

Hi everyone. This site has been a great help to me for my MCU works.
I hope you can help me guys, this is the problem. I've used the
FLEX_LCD420.C and FLEX_KBD.C from this forum. FLEX_LCD420 worked
right using Port D and PIC16F877A. But when I used both together with
the EX_LCDKB from PICC/drivers, my lcd get to displayed like chinese
characters while pressing the 3x4 keypad one at a time. I used Port B
for this and enabled pullups. What do you think is going wrong?

Connect your board to a COM port on your PC. Then display the
output of the keypad driver on a terminal window on your PC.
Use this method to debug your keypad code.

When you have the keypad code working reliably, then try it again
with your LCD.
