how can i implement this?? how do i scan a keypad in just 1 minute.. pls some one help me to implement this on code.. thx

You can actually scan a keypad HUNDREDS OF TIMES PER SECOND depending on the hardware.

You need to be more specific about what kind of keypad, what PIC you are
using, the version of the CCS compiler you have and what you are trying to
do.

ok... I just need to know how to implement scanning a keypad or may be a specific port in 1 minute. Lets say scankey() is the method/function of scanning. Instead of using delay_ms(1000) that makes the pic idle for a minute, I just want it to be scanning. You get what I mean?? Btw thx for the reply.

Think I know what you mean... You can use the Timer to generate an interrupt every second and then call your scanning routine from the interrupt.

See the CCS example files for the timer code examples.
