sending data from visual basic to 18f452
PostPosted: Mon Dec 28, 2009 3:13 pm     Reply with quote

hi everone

I am currently working on a communication project. I tested the written code by proteus and hyper terminal. It works properly.

However when I try to send more than one character to 18f452, it is frozen. So it can not accept more than one character.

Code like this:
Code:

char[8]  x;
.......
gets(x);
lcd_init();
printf(lcd_putc,"%s",x);

Thanks
Guest

Is this the actual code or did you re-type it for posting, because the variable definition syntax is totally wrong......

The posted code fragment is too small to indicate the error source. Possible problems are:
- Missing 'ERRORS' keyword in the #rs232 line.
- You are sending a string of more than 7 characters.

Post a complete, but small, test program. Also post your compiler version number.
