CCS compiler can be selected building a project in MPLAB.
But we don't think it will work.
We have uninstalled CCS compilers.
Should we just install PCB compiler again and think happy thoughts it will
work? _________________ PIC Hobbyist

PCB won't support the 16F877A.
Some versions of MPLAB, do come with PCB already included. PCB though
only supports the basic 12bit core chips. So devices like the 12F629. It
doesn't even support the more powerful PIC 12's like the 12F1822. To
program for the 16F877A, you need the PCM compiler installed.
CCS is listed under 'Third party tools' in your version of MPLAB, even if
nothing is installed, but it won't work unless you have both the compiler,
and the MPLAB plug-in installed.

Thanks Ttelmah
Looks like our best shot is one of these two compilers:
Rapid USB
E3 Mini board
They both have complete compilers.
It does seem a little rough using C for 10F200 and whatnot.
