a question about low voltage detect

We are trying to detect zero crossings and we have come up with two ways of doing it if we can.

1)Can we use setup_low_volt_detect( ) function with PIC16F877A? I couldn't find it in the header file for 16F877A.

The reason it is not in the header, is that the chip doesn't have a low voltage detect module.
This would be the wrong module to use anyway. Use the comparator, which the 877A, does have.
Also, 'reconsider' using this chip. Microchip themselves advise not to use this, but the use the standard 877 instead.
