different result using printf with %c and %u

Hi
I'm trying to get my PIC 18f4620 printf with the format %c but it has a strange behavior because it prints the entire array sometimes and others don't. But the most strange thing is that if I use %u to print the array, the array is printed ok always.

I'm using version 4.088.

Someone has any idea what would be wrong. Rolling Eyes

Post a short, compilable program, that shows the problem.
We should be able to paste the program into an editor and compile it
with no errors.
