Suggestion for IDE enhancement

I seem to do quite a bit of code re-use and comparison when using PICC – I suspect I am not alone in this...

It would be nice to have the option to open a source file in read-only mode to protect files I am using for reference from accidental changes. It would also be nice if this persisted across sessions (the IDE already re-opens previous files automatically when a project is opened – which is nice Smile ). Perhaps the tab could be coloured red or orange to indicate that a file is read-only and the editing (but not the scrolling and selection) could be disabled.
