Dumb IDE Question ?.

I have been seeing so many complaints in regarding the V4.0 IDE and since I cannot try this because I only have PCM & PCH and they do not have an IDE.

I have alway been using an external editor to edit my files. I was orginally was using DOS Qedit and ran a Batch file with the command line parameters to compile. I since upgraded to a windows based programmers editor and have no complaints.

I think the Windows IDE version of CCS-C compiler is PCW.exe ? for Version 3.xx.

Is it the same for 4.xx Question . If its the same PCW.exe has anyone tried to rename the V4.xx of Pcw.exe to Pcw4.exe and then try to subsitute the V3.xx version of Pcw.exe and see if it works. Rolling Eyes
