Anyone know if there is an equivalent to the USB virtual comm port driver for Ethernet to enable a PC application to select a virual comm port that maps to Ethernet (telnet or UDP)? _________________ Regards, Andrew

Going back a few years, there was an example 'virtual com port', in the Windows DDK (about Y2K). This seems to have disappeared from the latter DDK packs, and the model involved has got a lot more complex now. There are a few 'part' drivers around as shareware/freeware, but I have found these to have varying quality. Look at the 'eltima' XP driver, which I think may be very close to what you want.
