hi i know this has been discussed before.

but does anyone have the dallas one wire search rom code in ccs c
that i can use straight away, without having to straighten it out first.

There is a port of the Dallas 8051 code here:

Just place this line in your code:
FindDevices();
The addresses of devices on the bus will be output with the two-digit family code on the end of each address. The code has been tested by another user.

Actually, I now use the DS2482-100 i2c to one wire bridge ic instead of bit-banging it.

There is code now in application note 3684 that includes the search code using the chip's triplet hardware. I wrote my own before Dallas published the application note.
