Firstly, I am new in programming.I need help with downloading the program for a value onto a LCD.The LCD I am using is LK162-12 from Matrix Orbital. The user manual says that I just need a basic program for the LCD.I did a basic program about 10 lines but I don't think that it is right.The programming language that I am using is Visual C++.Could someone please provide me with web-sites, class info, professional info, etc.I appreciate your help.

If you're using Visual C++ you're in the wrong place... sort of. This forum is for users of CCSs C compiler for the PIC microcontroller.

If you are able to send text to the LCD via Hyperterminal or some other serial terminal program, it's your code. If not, get that working first, then try it from a program. I can't help you much with VC++, but thousands of others can, I'm sure.
