Hello
My PC1601 LCD (1x16) has a strange behaviour :
-when I power the unit up and hold the chip in reset, I only see black boxes on the 8 first characters (from (1,1) to (1,8)).
-I made a simple program that only writes a word on the LCD. This word appears (or not) randomly when I run the program or when I reset it.
-When I try a word exceeding 8 characters, it is usually NOT displayed entirely ; besides this I managed to print something on characters (1,9) to (1,16) at times, but in that case the characters (1,1 to (1,8) don't light.
It's impossible to foresee where a character will be displayed.
My question is : does the "lcd.c" driver from CCS (unmodified) is suitable to 1X16 or 2X16 LCDs ?
THanks

Driver is suitable. Characters 1-8 are line 1 and characters 9-16 are line two in 1x16 display.
