FYI: RS232 USART RX/TX gotcha

If you inadvertantly set the RX bit to output (TRIS_C.7=0), then anything the USART sends out the TX port will also show up on the RX port, but time-shifted two bit times earlier.

Debugging this problem can be truly fiendish.
